The Devil’s Bridge (Sheitan kyupryu)

Location: Located on about 5 km north from Ardino near the village of Dyadovtsi.
Description: Stone bridge over the Arda river, built on a scenic narrow gorge in the Late Middle Ages. Through it passed the way, which used to connect region of the Thracian lowland with the Aegean. The bridge was built in medieval architectural tradition, there are three arches, several spillway, upstream dispensed with breakwaters. Small handrail prevents those who cross the bridge.
Status: Declared for protected site in 1979.
Access: The Devil's Bridge is reached along a marked walking trail from the village of Dyadovtsi. There is a forest trail leading to the village of Latinka and from there through Galabovo can be reached the cave “The Fridge”. By car you can reach only to the tap shortly after the village Dyadovtsi, then the bridge itself could be reached only with a off-road car. Nearby are the cabins of Mlechino, the complex White Birches, Krivus, Eagle Rocks.
