We lost one more bison

A female European bison in the Studen Kladenets Reserve died last night despite the enormous care and day and night efforts of the NTG team. The results of the necropsy are expected from the the Thracian University in Stara Zagora (Southern Bulgaria).

In October 2013, five European bison have been brought to the Reserve within the project “The wild world of the Eastern Rhodopes” of the New Thracian Gold – Bulgaria Foundation for the rewilding in this area. Two bison died in November of a still unknown cause.
