NTG at the Day of the Associations

New Thracian Gold project was presented at the traditional Day of the associations, which is organized every year on the first Sunday of September in Montpellier, Southern France. The brochure issued by the project in 2012, presents tourist attractions and activities in the Eastern Rhodopes.

The event was organized by the municipality of the city of Montpellier and got involved 1200 active associations. This year more than130,000 visitors were attracted to enjoy it.

Bulgaria was represented by the Bulgarian Association of Montpellier ''Les amis de la Bulgarie'' (Friends of Bulgaria ). Special attention was given to the opportunities for alternative tourism in Bulgaria and Eastern Rhodopes. Although modest, the Bulgarian desk attracted the attention of the French people. Numerous tourist brochures were handed out, a Bulgarian student in France announced for our website. The stand was visited by the mayor of the city, Mrs. Ellen Mandru. She tasted the Bulgarian pastry made ​by our compatriots.

New Thracian Gold project expresses special thanks to Luba Stankova, who translated the tourist brochure in French and put a lot of efforts to popularize the Eastern Rhodopes and the New Thracian Gold tourism network.
