13 Photographers participated in a Photo Workshop in the Eastern Rhodopes

From 31 May to 2 June, thirteen photographers participated in a photo workshop  in the Eastern Rhodopes organized by New Thracian Gold jointly with Photosynthesis. The photo team had the opportunity to take unique wildlife photos in the two new photo hides in the region: in  “Studen Kladenets” Reserve and near the town of Madzharovo.

The participants were professionals and amateurs with a strong interest in wildlife photography. They succeeded to photograph Egyptian and Griffon vulture, Fox, Wolf, Black Stork, Black Kite, Buzzard, other interesting birds and also Fallow Deer. One participant used  NTG’s mobile camouflaged  shelter to shoot Black storks in the Arda River. The photographers were instructed and guided by the NTG experts Michaela Kircheva (tourism), Stefan Avramov (biodiversity) and Hristo Hristov (wilderness).

It was the workshop’s objective to promote wildlife observation and photography as an attraction for Bulgarian nature lovers. The participants were invited not only to take good photos, but also to come up with suggestions for the improvement of the photo hides.

The hide in “Studen Kladenets” was built with NTG support. The project supports the development of two more photo hides - in the village of Gorno Pole, Madzharovo Municipality and in the village of Kostilkovo, Ivaylovgrad Municipality.
