Griffon vulture

The Eastern Rhodopes Mountains, located in South Bulgaria, are the European kingdom of raptors. Griffon, Egyptian and Black vultures roam in the sky together with 270 species of rare birds. The flora of the region is extremely diverse and rich in endemits. Orchids and turtles are everywhere in the rural areas. Deer and wolf fight for the nature territories in the reserves.
