Tourist Information Center Planned in Stambolovo
A Tourist information center will be opened in the village of Stambolovo within the project Tour innovation on eco- , cultural and historical tourism financed by the Rural Development Program 2007-2013.
An electronic guide on the main tourist sites will be available in the new Tourist center in the village of Stambolovo, in the interactive exhibition The biodiversity in the valley of the Arda River in the village of Dolno Cherkovishte and in the Trans-border center for eco tourism in the village of Tankovo. The guide will provide information and photos on each cultural and nature site on the territories of Stambolovo Municipality and the neighboring municipalities.
A exhibition will present the tourists attraction and local highlights, eco trails in the Eastern Rhodopes, megalithic monuments, folk traditions and customs and in the villages in the area. 12 information boards and 7 road signs will be placed.
Stambolovo is one of the five target municipalities where New Thracian Gold project works very actively. In November 2012, the NTG focus groups and team meeting took place in the village of Stambolovo. The participants were welcomed by the Deputy Mayor Marem Cheribashla.
