Bulgaria in Top 10 of National Geographic Traveler

National Geographic Traveler nominated the tour “Splendors of Bulgaria: Art, Wine, and Traditions” as one of the 50 destinations for 2012.National Geographic Traveler has the largest audience of any travel magazine, with more than 7.5 million readers and is the world's most widely read travel magazine.

"50 Tours of a Lifetime” and its motivations were presented on April 12, 2012. In the Europe section Bulgaria is presented as the land of Dionysus and Orpheus in a ranking with tours in Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Iceland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Russia.

Cultural Crossroads was  already rewarded this prestigious honor 3 times before – in 2009, 2010 and 2011. This year, the tour “Splendors of Bulgaria”, a trip “for the culturally sophisticated soul of the great discoverers” was chosen. This is also the first time that National Geographic Traveler includes the small European country in their “50 Tours of a Lifetime” in the cultural travel selection.

“Splendors of Bulgaria” is also the richest tour to Bulgaria in gourmet and wine experiences, helping the travelers to discover tastes and aromas deeply rooted in the best European traditions. Almost everyday there is an event in the tour which puts the travelers in direct contact with the local people.
