Deadline for Applying for Support from the Wine Program Extended

The deadline for submission of applications under uniform measures for assistance of the National Program for Support of the Wine and Vine Sector 2008/2009 - 2013/2014 is extended to June 15, 2012. The goal is more farmers to be encouraged to participate in the program, Ministry of Agriculture and Foods informs.

Owners, lessees or tenants of the vineyard are eligible to apply under the National Wine and Vine Program. They  have to be registered as a vineyard, according to the Wine and Spirits Law.

Between 19 – 23 March, 2012 State Fund "Agriculture"has paid financial support amounting to 884,039 under the National Program for Support of the Vine and Wine  Sector 2008/2009 - 2013/2014. Since the beginning of the year (October 15, 2011) up to now a total of BGN 12,157,189 has been paid under Measure in "Restructuring and conversion of vineyards". National Program for Support of the Vine and Wine sector is used in Bulgaria for the period 2008/2009 - 2013/2014 The total budget for the program until 2014 amounts to EUR 112,683,000.
