Competition for the most interesting itinerary and best photo „Eastern Rhodopes – taste the wild nature“

In 2012, New Thracian Gold (NTG) project organizes two contests: for the most interesting itinerary and for the best photo from the Eastern Rhodopes. This is the second edition of the contest. The subject of the competition both for travel notes and photos is „Eastern Rhodopestaste the wild nature. We’d like to see in your texts and photos on one of the three NTG-elements: wilderness/nature, ecotourism or organic farming.

The size of The Best Eastern Rhodopes travel notes is up to 4000 characters and the text has to be in Bulgarian. You have to illustrate it with at least three and up to five photos. The photos must have size of 1000 pixels on the long side.

In The Best Eastern Rhodopes photo competition, the maximum number of images of an author is 3, with size of 1000 pixels on the long side in format jpg.

The awards for the winners are:

For travel notes :

A weekend for two in Ivaylovgrad.

For a photo :

A weekend for two in Studen Kladenets reserve.

The second and third prizes in both contests are rewarded with organic products from the Eastern Rhodopes.

On the project website: www.newthraciangold.eu you can find information about the area, its sites of interests and places to visit and stay. We would advise you to use the published by the NTG project tourist map and tourist guide on the Eastern Rhodopes.

The deadline for sending the journey notes and the photos is October 1, 2012. Send them to: office@newthraciangold.com The travel notes and the photos–winners will be published on the project website and will be used for the NTG Calendar 2013 and other NTG promotional materials.

New Thracian Gold is a five-year project (2009-2014) for the sustainable development of the Eastern Rhodopes executed by the Dutch organizations ARK and Avalon, which have extensive international experience in projects for environmental protection and organic farming. The project is financed by Dutch Postcode Lottery, the biggest charity lottery in the country, which supports 80 non-governmental organizations working for a fairer, greener world.
